Intermediate Intervention Program (IIP)

The Intermediate Intervention Program (IIP) is a court offered, cost-based program that is only offered to qualifying youth. IIP follows a Supervision Plan that is non-negotiable and must be adhered to by the youth. Upon the completion of IIP, all qualifying charges against them will be dropped and cleared from their record, otherwise known as expunged.

IIP can be offered to youth with certain misdemeanor offenses and is at the discretion of the Juvenile County Attorney’s Office. Youth with felony charges or charges that have been plead down to a misdemeanor from felony severity do not qualify.

IIP lasts for a total of four months starting from the day the agreement is signed. During the program, the youth will meet with their Supervising Officer a minimum of once per month.

What Do I Need To Bring To My Initial Visit? For initial visits youth will need to bring at least one legal guardian, proof of ID, and proof of income (only if interested in Federal Poverty Guidelines, see below). What If I Can’t Afford The Fees? If you cannot afford to pay the fees, you can simply bring in a proof of income covering the last 30 days minimum (paystub or W2), and it will be determined if you qualify to have charges waived or reduced.

If you are found to have broken a condition of the agreed upon Supervision Plan, you will be issued a violation. Upon receiving two violations of the same nature or three total violations you will be referred to a Multidisciplinary Team. The Multidisciplinary Team will then decide how to proceed with the case.
