Role and Responsibilities

The selected applicant will perform a survey of all agencies and organization providing services to

  • Residents of Montgomery Count KS who are victims of crimes adjudicated in the 14th Judicial District of KS
  • Residents of Montgomery Count KS who are victims of declared disaster events in Montgomery County

Selectee will work in the Montgomery Co Office of Emergency Management, to produce a database of all victims services for both categories. Selectee will locate name, contact info and detailed range of victim services for each agency, for inclusion in the County Emergency Operation Plan and for the use of the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED

Preferred Skills

Good telephone skills, Excel, Word, email. Must be able to research & contact various victim services/mental health agencies within SE Kansas. Must track/record hours for grant position.

Work location – 300 East Main St, Independence KS 67301

Will train to position. Position is supported by grant funds.

This is a temporary position, up to 29 hours per week. No benefits.
