Job Description
Montgomery County Building Maintenance Department has an opening for a full time Building Maintenance Technician in the Department of Corrections.
Requirements include knowledge of the operation and maintenance of buildings and building systems. Must be able to work around inmates, this position requires the employee’s fingerprints to be on file; must be able to work in tight spaces.
Job duties include troubleshooting and repair of kitchen appliances, cell door locks, sliders, micro switches plus many and varied other duties.
Benefits include paid holidays, accumulated 8 hours vacation and 8 hours sick leave per month after probationary period, health insurance, KPERS retirement and uniforms. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check. Applications will be accepted until filled.
