Environmental Health/Zoning
He is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The telephone number is (620)330-1190. The Montgomery County Environmental Health/Zoning Department serves as
liaison for the local county planning commission, subdivision commissions, and
Board of Zoning Appeals to the Board of County Commissioners. Membership to the following associations include the Kansas Environmental
Health Association, (formerly Kansas Association of Sanitarians), Kansas Small
Flows Association, Kansas Association of Code Enforcement, Montgomery County
Solid Waste Committee, Four State Sanitarians, and prospective member to the
Kansas Environmental Leadership Program. Staff regularly attends the Verdigris
Basin Advisory Committee sessions, and is an active participant in the State of
Kansas Local Environmental Protection Plan (LEPP).
