Montgomery County Public Works Department is seeking an employee for a mechanic position.  Employees added to our staff will join a team of individuals dedicated to the construction, maintenance and repair of Montgomery County’s roads and bridges.

The applicant should have a strong working experience of hydraulics, air brakes, air conditioning, good diagnostic evaluation skills, and electronic circuitry knowledge for heavy equipment  The applicant should have a current Kansas CDL License or have the ability to obtain within 6 months.  Must have 2 years technical school degree in auto mechanics or 4 years related work experience in an auto mechanic shop environment

Benefits include paid holidays, accumulated 8 hours vacation and 4 hours sick leave per month after probationary period completed, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance, KPERS Retirement and uniforms.
