OFFICIAL MINUTES

September 21, 2006

The Board of County Commissioners, two members and the County Clerk present, met at Caney City at 7:00 PM.  Commissioner Mattix was absent.

CALL TO ORDER:  Commissioner Lewark-Wood.

INVOCATION:  Mayor Dale McBride.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Commissioner Lewark-Wood.

The Board met for the Thursday evening meeting at the new City of Caney facilities.  Those present were Commissioner Lewark-Wood, Commissioner Tucker, County Clerk, Bob Pierce, Ethel Wilson, Jimmie Barton, Virgil Raef, Sherri McBride, Dale McBride, Carol Coker, Joe Taylor, Henry Schmidt and Jeff Altzenhoffer.

Bob Pierce rescheduled his agenda time for Monday, September 25^th to discuss taxes with all three Commissioners present.

Ms. Barton presented a letter to the Board with concerns on the drainage problem on South State Street.  Ms. Wilson and Mr. Raef also expressed concerns on this problem.  Pictures of the area were presented to the Board.  Commissioner Lewark-Wood and Commissioner Tucker will discuss the problem with Public Works Coordinator on Monday at the regular meeting.  They agreed something has to be done to solve the drainage problem.

SOLID WASTE REVIEW RESOLUTION:

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Tucker to accept the recommendation of the Montgomery County Solid Waste Committee for the 2006 review of the Montgomery County Solid Waste Plan.  Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lewark-Wood.
