The Board of County Commissioners, three members and the County Clerk present, met in regular session at 9:00 AM.

CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Mattix.
INVOCATION: Commissioner Mattix.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to approve the agenda as amended.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Tucker.

APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF INVOICES:
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to approve invoices in the amount of $47,757.26 as presented by the County Clerk’s office. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lewark-Wood.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Lewark-Wood to recess to Executive Session at
9:08 AM to return at 9:25 AM to discuss non-elected personnel with the County Clerk present. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.

Commissioner Tucker - Yes
Commissioner Lewark-Wood – Yes
Returned to regular session at 9:22 AM with no action taken and no decisions made.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to return to Executive Session at 9:22 AM to return at 9:30 AM with the Board present to discuss non-elected personnel. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Tucker.

COUNTY HEALTH – CHANGING OFFICE HOURS FOR THE SUMMER:
Ruth Bardwell, Montgomery County Health Director, presented a request for a change of employee’s hours for the summer to accommodate individuals needing services at the County Health Offices. A schedule was presented to the Board for their approval. The new hours would begin now through September and begin again in May, 2007. The following action was taken:
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to adopt the new scheduled hours for the Montgomery County Health Department as presented by the Health Director to provide extended hours for Independence and Coffeyville offices for immunizations and school physicals with all normal health department services available during these hours. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lewark-Wood.

PUBLIC WORKS:
Barbara Curtis, Public Works Coordinator, presented the weekly written report. The following items were discussed: Asphalt report; Damage to excavator when vandalized estimated at $1,000.00; Major Bridge Replacement Status; and remodeling of ladies restroom on first floor is completed and shrubs will be planted this week, weather permitting. There was no action as a result of this report.

SHERIFF VEACH – TERMINAL SERVER BIDS:
Sheriff Veach was present for the bid opening for a terminal server in the Coffeyville office. Bids were as follows:

Computer Generations, Independence, KS
$1,110.00
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Lewark-Wood to approve the bid presented by Computer Generations, Independence, KS in the amount of $1,110.00 for a terminal server for the Coffeyville Sheriff’s Office. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Tucker. Debit County General Capital Outlay Fund.

ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to issue an Occupational License to Sassy’s, Sycamore, Kansas. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Lewark-Wood.
