The Board of County Commissioners, two members and the County Clerk present, met in regular session at 9:00 AM.  Commissioner Hey absent.

CALL TO ORDER:  Commissioner Mattix.

INVOCATION:  Commissioner Mattix.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Commissioner Taylor.

AGENDA APPROVAL:

ACTION:   A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve the agenda as amended.  The motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor approve the minutes of December 13, 17 and 20, 2004 as presented by the County Clerk.  The motion was seconded by  Commissioner Taylor.

APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF INVOICES:

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve invoices in the amount of $9,499.71 as presented by the County Clerk’s office.   The motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.

PUBLIC WORKS:

Barbara Curtis, Public Works Coordinator, presented the weekly written report.  The following items were discussed:  Road and Bridge yearly transfer of funds; Noxious Weed award of lift truck; and Building Maintenance award of lawn tractor.  As a result of the report, the following action was taken:

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to transfer all available monies from the Road and Bridge, with approximately $150,000.00 to be credited to the Special Road, Bridge or Street Building and approximately $150,000.00 to be credited to Special Highway Improvement Fund.  This transfer is subject to the 2004 audit.  The Commission authorizes the County Treasurer to make this transfer of funds.  Motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to approve the bid of $18,745.00 for a 2005 Daewoo Lift Truck from Lift Truck Center, Inc., Wichita, Kansas for the Noxious Weed Department.  Debit Noxious Weed Capital Outlay Fund.  Motion was seconded by Commissioner Taylor.

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve the bid of $7,890.00 for a John Deer GX345 Lawn Tractor with attachments, from O’Malley Equipment Company for Building Maintenance.  Debit Commissioners Capital Outlay Fund.  Motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.

ACTION:  A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve the Cereal Malt Beverage License for Lakeview Golf Course, Cherryvale, Kansas for “consumption on the premises”.  Motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix.
