CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Hey. INVOCATION: Commissioner Mattix. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Taylor. AGENDA APPROVAL: ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix. ******** APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF INVOICES: ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to approve invoices in the amount of $4929.49, $171,249.63 and $264.30 as presented by the County Clerk’s office. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Mattix. ROLL CALL VOTE – Commissioner Hey - Yes Commissioner Mattix - Yes Commissioner Taylor - Yes
******** PUBLIC WORKS: Barbara Curtis, Public Works Coordinator, presented the weekly written report. The following items were discussed: Road and Bridge Overlay Report, Bridge crew report, Rehabilitation of old snow and ice building; Award of two (2) ¾ ton pickups; Noxious Weed Report; Sheriff’s Office carpet replacement; and request for pipe quotations by fax. As a result of this report, the following action was taken: ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Mattix to approve the low bid from Quality Motors, Independence, Kansas for two (2) ¾ ton trucks (one 2005 Ford F250, Crew Cab and one 2005 Ford F250 Single Cab Chassis) in the amount of $36,483.16 to be debited from Special Equipment Fund. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Taylor. ROLL CALL VOTE – Commissioner Hey - Yes Commissioner Mattix - Yes Commissioner Taylor - Yes RES. NO. 04-156
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Taylor to authorize Public Works to receive faxed quotations for 480’ of 12” corrugated pipe; 480’ of 12” steel pipe and 480’ of 15” corrugated pipe at an estimated cost of $10,000.00. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hey. ROLL CALL VOTE – Commissioner Hey - Yes Commissioner Mattix - Yes Commissioner Taylor - Yes
Approval was given for Public Works to receive bids on carpet for the Sheriff’s office.
